Cookie Notice

Smart Property Software Ltd uses a small number of cookies and similar storage technologies (collectively "cookies") on the SmartGyms website, member portal, and mobile app to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, take payments securely, and understand how the service is used so we can improve it.

You can manage your preferences from the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Strictly necessary: keep you signed in, remember the contents of any in-progress purchase, balance load across our servers, and protect against fraud and abuse. These cookies cannot be switched off because the service would not work without them.

Functional: remember small preferences like your locale and whether you've dismissed in-app banners.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4): aggregated, IP-anonymised usage statistics so we can see which pages are useful, which flows have friction, and what we should improve. The relevant cookies are `_ga` (12-month expiry) and `_ga_<measurement_id>` (per-property, 12 months). These are only set after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Until then we use Google's Consent Mode v2, which lets us see modeled aggregate counts without storing any identifiers in your browser.

Payment provider cookies: set by Stripe and GoCardless during checkout to detect fraud and confirm that a payment session belongs to the same browser that started it. These are required for payments to work safely and are only set on pages that take payments.

Google Analytics 4 — analytics provider. We send only page paths, anonymised IPs, device class and referrer; no email, name, or member identifiers. Data is retained by Google for 2 months by default. See Google's privacy notice at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Stripe — sets cookies on its hosted checkout pages to detect fraud and bind the payment session to your browser. See Stripe's cookie notice at https://stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.

GoCardless — sets cookies on its hosted billing-request pages during mandate setup and on bank-account changes. See GoCardless's cookie notice at https://gocardless.com/legal/cookies/.

We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising tracking or for sharing data with social networks for ad targeting.

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.

Persistent cookies (remembering preferences, keeping you signed in across visits) last between 30 days and 12 months unless you clear them.

Where you reject a cookie category, your choice is stored for 12 months so you don't have to re-confirm on every visit.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the in-page cookie controls available from the footer, or by clearing site data in your browser.

Rejecting strictly necessary cookies will prevent core features (sign-in, payments, booking) from working. Rejecting analytics cookies has no effect on your ability to use the service.
